Teacher Appreciation Night

In a night dedicated to educators, Desert Museum staff will showcase our 2010-11 programs, including new options for Field Trips and information about our updated digital resources. Teachers will also receive a private presentation at 6:10 PM of "Sky Hunters"; a look at the wonderful raptors of the Sonoran Desert region. Registered teachers will receive free admission for themselves and one guest, as well as dinner vouchers for $5.00 at the Ironwood Terraces, a self-serve grill with diverse menu offerings.
Program:
- 5:00-6:00 Registration and Check-in on Front Patio
- 6:00-7:00 ASDM Education Programs Showcase and "Sky Hunters" in Warden Oasis Theater
- 7:00-7:30 Program Sign-Ups and Information Tables: Lobby, Warden Oasis Theater
- 7:30-10:00 Enjoy Summer Saturday Evening at the Museum, including:
- Meet the Beetles, Playing live at the Desert Museum! Presented by Wendy Moore Ph.D: Warden Oasis Theater 7:30-8:00 pm
- Live beetle specimens for upclose viewing: Desert Garden 7:00-9:00 PM
- Sky Hunters: Warden Oasis Theater 8:30-9:15 pm
- Informational tables by UA Skin Cancer Center: in front of the Gallery
